The existing centralised HR administration team at Pitney Bowes was under-utilised with a demoralised team. Despite operating for seven years it never met company expectations and was typified by a lack of respect from line management. It was described by management as ‘completely broken’.
The first stage was to create an effective HR administration team, map all HR processes and establish support for the COEs. Once the first stage was embedded, phase two involved the implementation of a dedicated Employment Relations (ER) support team and support for specialist areas such as Reward and Talent Management.
