Do you need a Wolverine on your team?

Born with super-human senses and given an indestructible skeleton and claws Wolverine may be just what your HR team needs.  He’s the penultimate of our Super Hero profiles in the run up to the Innovation in Recruitment Summit being held tomorrow, where we’ll be featuring seven Super HeRoes to help solve your HR challenges.

Wolverine 219x268Treated like an animal, it took years for him to control himself. Now, Wolverine is a premiere member of both the X-Men and the Avengers. His ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure is at a rate far greater than that of any ordinary human. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion with the severity of the damage Wolverine suffers.

Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a C.I.A. operative, a samurai, a spy and a member of the X-Men, Wolverine has exceptional hand-to-hand combat skills, having mastered virtually every fighting style on Earth and is a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives and assassination techniques. He is also fluent in many languages, including Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota and Spanish. All these elements mean that Wolverine is not your traditional Super HeRo but could be just what you and your HR team needs.

In 2013 ResourceBank identified some key challenges for the HR community, including:

  • Attracting and recruiting talent
  • Reward and recognition
  • Leadership development
  • Succession planning
  • Employee engagement
  • Business transformation/cultural change
  • Productivity

Which HR Challenge would Wolverine’s skills be most suited to solving? Could his untraditional approach mean he is most suited to business transformation and cultural change? It’s for you to choose…….

If you’re attending the Innovation event tomorrow we look forward to seeing you there. Even if you’re not attending, you can still take part by telling us which Super HeRo you would pick (and why) on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook and the best suggestions will get a personalised Super HeRo of their own!

Tomorrow we’re focusing on our last Super HeRo – Batman.
