ResourceBank – The Next Generation

We’ve recently welcomed Aleyah Longhurst to the ResourceBank team as a Recruitment Resourcer, and she’ll be spending some time working with us before heading off to study Paediatric Nursing! Aleyah is the daughter of one of our Recruitment Business Partners – Ed who was delighted for her to come on board.

Aleyah has never worked in an office environment before so I feel that the experience that she will gain from working at ResourceBank will be very beneficial as well as being a real confidence boost for her. The opportunity for her to work with such a friendly and supportive team will provide the perfect platform to send her on her way to university and career beyond that.”

Many of our employees’ children have been able to use their time at ResourceBank as a stepping stone into the world of work. Some have decided to stay on and pursue a career in recruitment, and others have used the experience as a springboard, taking the skills and work ethic gained at ResourceBank to go on to exciting new careers elsewhere.

Commercial Finance Director Debbie’s two sons Matt and Tom have both worked at ResourceBank during college and university, giving them both some great experience to put on their CVs. Tom is now an Operations Manager for Morrisons and Matt is due to graduate in Business Management later this year.

Jo, our Facilities Manager and her daughter Skye have been working together for a number of years starting when Skye was 18. She took some time out to travel around Australia and is now a Recruitment Coordinator working across multiple client accounts.

We also have Sian, daughter of Ellie our Technical Solutions Manager. Sian worked at ResourceBank whilst studying for a degree in Zoology and she is currently recruiting for our client World Duty Free.

Sian says,

I thoroughly enjoy working at Resource Bank because it’s such a nice positive environment to be in. They really put the time in to training you and making sure you have internal growth & development within the business. No matter what previous experience you may have had before! I have been with this company whilst balancing university, with ResourceBank being totally flexible to fit around my studies. And of course, it is always fun having your mother working round the corner to annoy you on your lunch break!”

Here at ResourceBank we recognise and nurture talent in all our employees, helping them to develop and achieve their career goals.
