What’s next for our Kickstarters?

As a government approved ‘Kickstart Gateway’ ResourceBank has been supporting employers throughout 2021 to access the Kickstart Scheme – designed to help young people get back to work.

As an employer, we also welcomed five Kickstart participants ourselves back in April and they are now entering the final weeks of their placements. We are delighted to be retaining three of them and they are moving on to support our Wolseley UK resourcing team.

Ben Cartwright was the first Kickstart member to join the team. He says..

“Joining ResourceBank on the Kickstart scheme has been brilliant. It has given me opportunities I would not have considered before. I’ve been given the support and training I needed during the scheme and now have a clear goal on what I want to achieve with my career.”

These thoughts are echoed by Elliot who is joining Ben as a member of the ResourceBank team who says “The chance to work at places that young people might have no prior experience is great because they’re getting a wage, they’re learning skills that will help them find other jobs and learning a trade they may not know. Overall, my experience on the kickstart scheme and with Resource Bank is a genuine positive one.”

We are now entering the next stage of our Kickstart journey and look forward to welcoming the next cohort of young people who will be joining us on the scheme over the next few weeks. Watch this space!
