Kickstart Scheme
Proud to have acted as a Kickstart Gateway offering career opportunities to young people

So how did we do?
Working alongside the DWP we supported more than 30 employers with accessing government funding to provide opportunities for hundreds of young people between the ages of 16 and 24. Many of these have now transitioned into full time employees with their businesses.
We partnered with a range of organisations in a variety of sectors including Roadchef, Fuller Smith & Turner PLC, Eurofins Food Testing UK, and Wolseley. We were also pleased to be able to support smaller businesses with their Kickstart journeys.

Jane Frost, Head of Talent and Resourcing at Roadchef says,
“The team at Resource Bank supported and guided us through all elements of the Kickstart Scheme requirements and we have enjoyed a successful partnership, which has resulted in us attracting some great people into some of our Motorway Service Area locations. It is great to hear from the site teams how their Kickstart participant is developing and we hope to be able to convert some of them into full time employees at the end of their 6 month programme.”

We also took part as an employer ourselves welcoming eight Kickstarters and are delighted that so far three have been offered permanent roles, with others still completing their placements. It is great to see them all doing really well and contributing to our business.

Ben Cartwright was the first Kickstart member to join the team. He says..
“Joining ResourceBank on the Kickstart scheme has been brilliant. It has given me opportunities I would not have considered before. I’ve been given the support and training I needed during the scheme and now have a clear goal on what I want to achieve with my career.”
