SMT GB are a leading full-service distribution company specialising in Volvo Construction Equipment. They employ 450 people across the UK across a branch network and a UK headquarters in Duxford, Cambridge.
Historically the company has been almost totally reliant on agencies to fill their roles, and the Head of HR used to work with one of our long standing clients and had no hesitation in contacting us to help them take a more strategic and consistent approach to their recruitment.
ResourceBank established a dedicated team of staff and quickly set to work with 10 vacancies being logged in the first week and by working with ResourceBank allowed SMT GB to save on costs and allow their HR team to focus on their core responsibilities and projects.
Fast forward 3 months and over 40 roles have been logged, with 25 offers made to successful candidates in that short period of time.
In the year to October 2019, the ResourceBank team managed 1,306 vacancies via a centralised resourcing function for Wolseley UK using a branded bespoke careers website and candidate portal.
Prior to ResourceBank's involvement, time to hire was anything between 70 and 100 days and attrition was very high. The dedicated team reduced this to an average of just 30 days.
The team helped to ensure all new candidates were engaged with and identified with the Wolseley brand. This engagement smoothed the path for the rebranding of all branches to the core Wolseley brand during 2019. Current NPS scores are +82 for internal managers and +89 for candidates
